After a grand schimozzle of an evening, I woke up feeling pretty sorry for myself. I felt that the only remedy I could handle would be a bit of retail therapy and some Sex and the City.
So, after and amazing breakfast and coffee combination at a cafe on Kings St, Newtown, our host, Emma Haslam, and I headed over to the cinema in the pouring rain, and watched the second attempt at a Sex and the City movie, and actually weren't disappointed!
I've always found Carrie a pretty amazing character, there is no one else that I can think of that can exist so far out of the realms of possibility (is it just me or does she live the most amazing life for a freelance sex columnist??) yet still be relatable. I walked out of this movie and actually felt like I could do anything (which may just have been a comparison to the way I was
feeling when we walked in...).
We then wandered to the "dodgy end" of Kings Street and found some amazing bargains from the hidden little op-shops that even Emma said she'd never seen th
ere before. I picked up a pretty convincing burberry trench look-a-like for $40 ($40 more than I have) and some other amazing bargains all under $100.

I also saw this beautiful chair:

Words cannot express how much I want six of these chairs. I love how the back support wraps around the lower back. It is completely stylish and unembellished.
By now it was 3:30 and time to head to the venue for sound check. Sound check = boring. This is a picture of us eating dinner:

It kind of blew our minds, actually. You sometimes forget how hungry you are, and then BAM! TexMex hits you in the face, guacamole in full swing. This is the band by the way. Sam is taking the photo, so he's not in it, but from right to left you have Dave, Art, Me, Josh, Nathaniel and then little Sam's head poking out.
This is Sydney Rain:

Can you even believe this? It is so cold!
Anyway, we played the show and it was actually one of the most fun shows we've ever played! We were supported by some great Sydney bands, Bearhug, Traps and Deep Sea Arcade (who are doing our whole album tour with us, they are such nice guys, and really good live). These are some photos from the show:
Well, that was all well and good, but then we went to karaoke with some friends, and shit got a little bit silly after that...
Onwards and upwards... we're off to Brisbane tomorrow, I don't know HOW WE'RE GOING TO DO THIS??!!
