Tour - Melbourne Trip

Rainy day, Melbourne town. We played last night in Adelaide in support of Dappled Cities and John Steele Singers to a very impressive crowd, even though (due to an all ages thing) we started at 7:30. Now that is mighty early!

We were staying with friends in a little townhouse in Kew, and playing at the Newtown Workers Club with Kimbra and Deep Sea Arcade as our supports. And my golly, what a show! I think I am a little bit in love with Kimbra, she has the cutest little bob haircut. She was doing some crazy vocal stuff and even had a guy set up to loop and mix her voice on stage. If it were me, I'd prefer to do that stuff myself... It seemed to go wrong a couple of times and that would absolutely kill me.

Deep Sea Arcade were fantastic as always, but for some reason or other, their sound was less impressive than usual - which is absolutely not their fault, but was a shame considering the amazing crowd.

After the show we went the Miss Libertines because Dave and Sam were DJing for Purple Sneakers. What an absolute riot! I drank beer for the first time in a year (coeliac) and paid for it the next day, let me tell you. I think there were about 20 of us crashing on the lounge room floor that night.

Next day, I was catching a tram and saw these fucking bad boys:

I need to know where they come from!
